Afridi is restricted

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket team management has disallowed media from talking to former captain Shahid Afridi, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, Pakistan team manager Naveed Akram Cheema has told media persons covering the ongoing series in Sri Lanka that they can talk to any national cricketer other than Afridi.
Afridi is the currently the most wanted man for media people covering the limited-overs series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka after his match-winning show in the second and last Twenty20 International in Hambantota last Sunday. Afridi hit a whirlwind 52 and then grabbed two key wickets to help Pakistan level the series.
“It was because of this reason that the media wanted to talk to Afridi but the Pakistan team management made it clear that the allrounder is not allowed to talk to them,” said the report which added the team manager has announced that the media can talk to any Pakistan player other than Afridi.
The report suggested the reason why Afridi has been gagged by the team management is the player’s habit of making careless statements.
