SHC defers Afridi case hearing till June 16...

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has deferred the hearing of the case involving the PCB's disciplinary proceedings against former captain Shahid Afridi till June 16, Geo News reported.

The court had earlier stayed the committee's proceedings against Afridi, after he had filed a petition challenging the validity of the sanctions imposed on him by the PCB.

The court upheld the decision to revoke the permission for the former captain to play abroad, adjourning the hearing of the petition against the PCB until June 16.

Afridi went to court after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) punished him for allegedly breaching the code of conduct by announcing his retirement after he was dumped as one-day captain, and for levelling allegations against the board.

The PCB suspended his central contract, revoked all his no-objection certificates (NOCs) which would have allowed him to play in England and Sri Lanka and served him with a show-cause notice last week.

Afridi's lawyers, Syed Ali Zafar had sent a letter to the PCB in a bid to resolve the dispute between the two parties. He had stressed repeatedly that they were asking only for due process to be followed and that the act of suspending Afridi's central contract and withdrawing his NOC were punishments handed down to the former captain before he had been heard.

He said that the PCB lawyers were using delay tactics which were causing a financial loss to Afridi, therefore he was considering the option of suing the board.

PCB's lawyer Taffazul Rizvi said that the petition should have been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) instead of SHC therefore SHC did not have the right to hear Afridi's case. He said that the NOC was issued under central contract and after its suspension the PCB was not bound to retain the NOC. He said that Afridi would have to appear before the disciplinary committee in any case.

Rizvi said that the PCB would submit its detailed response during the next hearing and if needed, PCB chairman Ijaz Butt could also appear in court.

Cricket: Nehra swears at Indian Captain Dhoni

IT ONLY HAPPEN IN PAKISTAN...

TO enforce their player to retire from in mid 30's  doesn't matter they are fit  enough to perform at international level but to enforce them or to make them habitual of it to take retire ment from cricket as early as possible...after passing their age from 35...

it just happen only in Pakistan.... doesn't make difference to them weither the player is fit enough to play for the country or not

Pakistan international level in cricket they avg age of player is 21 where as in australia it's 26 means there is 5 years difference in experience that's  why they are (AUSSIES) are that much mentally strong  so at time when team demand batting from bowlers they also perform from bat as well... that's y they always found tough ....

it's ok you give chances to youngsters but your youngesters have that much capability to perform at international because  at this ages there always be the lack of maturity.....

if talk about Indian team Sachin said if he will fit in future as well then he will play the 2015 World cup as well .. because having the senior in side you always got the advantage if you give chance to your youngsters with your senior members then will also get the experience as well that's why.. India is the much improving side in these days in international level... because Virat kohli turning out to be the dangerous for the any bowler in international level just like Suresh raina  & Rohit sharma....

where as Sanath jayasuria also called for the ODI'S & T20'S for against ENGLAND.....at the age of 42 it shows that they respect their seniors ...

if you can not respect your senior & always ignore them when they pass 35 age then you can not expect the best from your juniors because your junior based on the pillars of seniors....

PCB ignores Razzaq but the way he played in county t20 for leicestershire that was un biyanable...

infact you msut have some respect for your senior so your junior give you the best result..
