abu-dhabi...Pakistan v/s Sril lanka first test ended in draw but ... it was really the moral victory for srilankans who were out from first three days of test but came back strongly Ex captain Sangakkara scored 211 with Jayawerdene scored century as well to put out srilanka from the difficult situation....
Srilanka bat first allout for 197 Junaid khan bowled with brisk pace captured 5 wickets for 38 runs .. where as Pakistan in batting were out standing .. taufiq umer made double century 236 . hafeez made 75 , azhar ali made 70 odd runs .. misbah made quick 46 . they declared their innings with 511/6 ..gave srilanka the lead of 327 runs .
with that srilanka lost first wkt on first bowl but after that sangakkara take control of the game & played brilliantly well . after loosing 5 wkts he again batted well with the wkt keeper batesman P.Jayawerdene .. made partnership of 201 runs Pakistan fielding is still a big question mark dropped 7 sitter catches at an international level which is not acceptable ..
with that srilanka all out on 483 gave Pakistan the target of 170 in 126 balls but they didn't tried for chasing that target they were totally defensive in approach not for the moment their
style of batting showed that they are there for winning that match it was completely looking like that they are just there to pass 9 or 10 ovs then the reslut will be in draw . infact srilanka just reqd day & innings to make them back in that match that's what 4th day turned out to be then wvery thing went in favour of them.
pAkistani fielders dropped 7 sitters catches in fielding although they no doubt they batted brilliantly in first innings but their style of batting same as they are batting in 70's or 80's era test cricket now they must have to realize a fact that in test cricket as well they has to score runs at consistent manner because in these days test cricket every thing changes in the blink of an eye..
2ND test will start from 26 OCT ... DUBAI VENUE
