Contrary to media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board has rejected claims that said they had demanded an explanation from coach Dav Whatmore over allowing veteran Mohammad Yousuf to take a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy.
“The story is totally incorrect and baseless. The PCB clarifies that no explanation has been sought from the coach on this or any other issue,” The Daily Times quoted a PCB spokesman, as saying.
The spokesman also made it clear that the rumour-based stories such as differences between the coach and chief selector Iqbal Qasim were absolutely false.
“As far as the board is concerned, every official is on one page with regards to the objective – taking Pakistan cricket forward in a smooth manner,” he added.
